Say hello in our guestbook
Downloading a DrawSplat app or collection? We’d love to hear from you. Signing is completely optional—every download is available without it.
Use on this computer: extract the ZIP and follow START-HERE.html. The local launcher requires Python 3; core local work needs no internet connection. Install on your server: upload the included folders to your web server. Use the same ZIP; the Python launcher is not needed on the server.
The whiteboard, all DrawSplat tools, classroom widgets, games, media apps, hosting backends, and documentation in one download. Includes VideoSplat, MediaSplat, AudioSplat, PDFSplat, and CipherSplat. Open START-HERE.html for local setup, or use the named app HTML shortcuts at the ZIP’s root.
SplatWorks office apps are a separate suite. Choose the complete SplatWorks suite beside this package, or the individual office apps below.
Individual apps
Individual apps
Choose one app to install on its own. All five apps are also included in complete DrawSplat. Their offline startup methods are shown below.
VideoSplat
Record your screen and edit video. Includes the latest recording-duration fixes and original-media downloads.
Offline: local launcher required. After extraction, use START-WINDOWS.bat, START-MAC.command, or start-local.sh (Python 3). Opening index.html alone does not start the editor. Recording permissions still apply.
Convert, trim, split, and inspect media files. Generate English subtitles locally.
Offline: local launcher required. Uses the included launcher (Python 3), not index.html alone. Local conversion and editing need no internet; download speech models before offline transcription.
Record audio, arrange multiple tracks, apply effects, and export your mix.
Offline: local launcher required. Uses the included launcher (Python 3), not index.html alone. Local recording and editing need no internet; microphone permissions apply and speech models need a first download.
Organize, annotate, and sign PDFs. Scan pages, capture a tab or window, and export edited copies locally.
Offline: opens directly from disk. Extract the entire ZIP, then open its root index.html or Open-PDFSplat.html in desktop Chrome or Firefox. No Python is needed for direct-file editing. Camera and screen-capture permissions depend on the browser.
Encrypt and decrypt private text and files locally.
Offline: dedicated edition opens directly from disk. Extract the CipherSplat offline ZIP and open index.html or Open-CipherSplat.html. In complete DrawSplat, use the root Open-CipherSplat.html shortcut to reach the included offline edition. No Python is needed for direct-file encryption.
Use on this computer: extract the ZIP and follow START-HERE.html. The local launcher requires Python 3; core local work needs no internet connection. Install on your server: upload the included folders to your web server. Use the same ZIP; the Python launcher is not needed on the server.
SplatWorks app code is GPL-3.0-only. DrawSplat is AGPL-3.0-or-later unless a file or subdirectory states otherwise.
Smaller collections
Tools, Widgets, and Games
Offline with included launcher · Self-host ready
Use on this computer: extract the collection ZIP and follow START-HERE.html. All three collections include a local launcher that requires Python 3. Bundled local activities work offline; online services, external links, and first-time speech-model downloads need internet access. Install on your server: upload the included folders to your web server. The same ZIP supports both uses; the Python launcher is not needed on the server.
Install or update one collection. All three collections are already included in complete DrawSplat.
Tools
Creative tools including VideoSplat, MediaSplat, AudioSplat, image tools, and PDF tools.
The thirteen self-host packages use v3.1.28; CipherSplat’s dedicated offline ZIP is refreshed alongside them. Keep the included folders unchanged when installing. PDF signing and media acceleration are included alongside the latest VideoSplat recording fixes.
What you get
Four ways to run DrawSplat and SplatWorks
Use the same downloads offline on your computer or on a web server. Choose the setup below that matches your needs. Google Apps Script and MySQL add connected services to DrawSplat; they are not required for local use of DrawSplat or SplatWorks.
Path 1
Offline on this computer
Extract the entire ZIP and open START-HERE.html. Use the included local launcher to open the app in your browser at a local address. No hosting account or internet connection is needed for core local work.
Install Python 3 before going offline; no extra Python packages are needed.
Windows: run START-WINDOWS.bat. macOS: open START-MAC.command. Linux: run sh start-local.sh.
Keep the launcher window open while working. See START-HERE.html for troubleshooting.
Use this path for complete DrawSplat, SplatWorks, individual media apps, and collections. PDFSplat and CipherSplat’s dedicated offline edition also support direct-file opening.
Online services and external links require internet access. Download speech models before offline use; recording permissions still apply.
Path 2
Self-host on a web server
Upload the included folders to your static web host, keeping their paths intact. Open the app through its web address. Use the same ZIP as the offline installation; the Python launcher is not needed on the server.
Best for access through a shared website or school network.
Use HTTPS for browser features that require a secure connection, such as camera and microphone access.
Static hosting alone does not provide shared accounts or cloud storage.
Follow the modular installation guide. Install DrawSplat and whichever separate SplatWorks packages you need.
Path 3
DrawSplat with Google Apps Script
Paste apps-script/Code.gs into a new Apps Script project bound to a Google Sheet, deploy as Web App, paste the deployment URL into Teacher Admin. Storage stays inside the district’s Google Workspace tenant.
Best for K–12 districts already on Google Workspace.
Full Compliance Console + Family Access Tools + District Privacy Packet.
Private account-owned Save/Open through the same API on Railway, DigitalOcean, or an existing MySQL server. Added audio/video notes travel with the board; revision checks protect newer online copies.
Use the current repository source or build a fresh bundle. The v3.1.28 full package includes this connection and the latest backend configuration.
Requires Docker or Node.js 22+, MySQL 8, and a public HTTPS API.
Includes verified database TLS, automatic migrations, Railway configuration, and Docker Compose with an optional HTTPS proxy.
Google classroom rooms, templates, moderation, and turn-in/review are not connected to MySQL. Advanced district modules need separate validation.
The DrawSplatTM zip includes the static site (index.html, app/, pages/, legal/, guides/, parents/, community/, languages/, admin/, solutions/, games/), including ImageSplat™, SketchSpace VR, Quiz & Flashcard Studio, Super Star Trek, Squirrel Run, and the drawsplat-quiz-flashcard_v1.csv / drawsplat-quiz-flashcard_v1.json import templates.
server/mysql-backend/ — portable private Save/Open API with Railway configuration, Docker Compose, HTTPS proxy, verified TLS, and migrations; advanced district modules require separate validation.
The SplatWorksTM GridSplatTM zip includes splatworks/gridsplat/, GridSplatTM docs, source, built static assets, tests, package metadata, and GPL-3.0-only license files.
The SplatWorksTM ShowSplatTM zip includes splatworks/showsplat/, the browser presentation app, and the ShowSplatTM development plan.
The SplatWorksTM WriteSplatTM zip includes splatworks/writesplat/, the browser writing app, development plan, source, tests, package metadata, icon assets, and GPL-3.0-only license files.
The SplatWorksTM ListSplatTM zip includes splatworks/listsplat/, the browser database app, development plan, source, tests, package metadata, icon assets, and GPL-3.0-only license files.
The SplatWorksTM suite zip includes all four SplatWorksTM apps plus the suite launcher and detail pages.
The DrawSplatTM Tools, Widgets, and Games module zips include the same top-level paths used by the full package, so they can be dropped into the same folder.
The AudioSplat zip includes the production static app, source, tests, documentation, and self-host OAuth guidance under solutions/audiosplat/.
The VideoSplat zip includes the production static editor, source, tests, documentation, and local-processing runtime under solutions/videosplat/.
The MediaSplat zip includes the production static toolkit, source, tests, documentation, and split FFmpeg runtime under solutions/mediasplat/.
Excluded from the bundles: .git, node_modules, .env, build / log files, local test artifacts, and any real DrawSplat Hub campus folders. The DrawSplatTM bundle keeps only the generic Hub dashboard and hubcampus demo. Build all packages from source any time with ./scripts/make-selfhost-bundle.sh. See modular self-hosting for the drop-in package model.
